- 1962 – graduated with honours from Saratov Aviation College.
- 1962 – entered the Saratov Polytechnic Institute (SPI) for the first year following the speciality Electronic Devices. Since then, his creative activity has been inextricably linked with this university.
- 1967 – following graduation with honours from the Saratov Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Electronic Devices, he continued to full-time postgraduate study at the Department of Electronics.
- 1983 – successfully defended dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Engineering Sciences.
- 1984 – awarded the academic title Research Assistant, Department of Electronics.
- 1988 – awarded the academic title Associate Professor, Department of Electronics.
- 1996 – successfully defended dissertation for Doctorate of Engineering Sciences.
